Description

Structure:
Micro interlock fabric is a double-knit fabric made on interlock circular knitting machines. It has two rows of stitches that are interlocked together, which results in a fabric that is thicker and more stable than single jersey. The “micro” aspect refers to the use of microfiber yarns, which are extremely fine synthetic fibers, usually polyester or nylon.

Key Characteristics:

Soft and smooth surface: Thanks to microfiber yarns, it feels silky and soft to the touch.

Stretch and recovery: It offers good 2-way stretch (sometimes 4-way depending on the knit), with excellent recovery, making it ideal for form-fitting applications.

Durability: Strong and resistant to pilling, shrinkage, and wrinkling.

Moisture-wicking: Often used in activewear due to its ability to wick moisture away from the body.

Breathable: Despite its close-knit structure, it allows air circulation.

Stable and non-curling edges: Unlike single jersey, interlock does not curl at the edges, making it easier to sew
